JDLD is back for its fourth edition. Previous events brought together learners, educators, builders and community participants — and 2026 takes the experience further.
JDLD 2026 is designed as a future-skills festival: a place to learn, build, compete, showcase, meet partners and continue into practical opportunity after the event.

Open to students, educators, professionals, entrepreneurs, SMEs, community organisations and the public. The goal is simple: help more people cross from awareness into confidence, practical creation and opportunity.
Respond to change and disruption.
Learn, reason and solve problems.
Share ideas and collaborate.
Question, evaluate and decide.
Use and build with technology responsibly.
The competition keeps the entry barrier low while giving stronger teams room to stretch. Both tracks are built around solving real problems and showing practical value.
Preparedness, sustainability, monitoring and resilience.
Safety, privacy, fairness, governance and responsible deployment.
SMEs, productivity, operations, innovation and practical opportunity.
The current structure combines common opening and closing moments with parallel competition, workshops, exhibition and networking.
Start together before moving into competition and workshop pathways.
Teams begin building while attendees enter practical learning sessions.
Hands-on learning, public engagement and partner exposure.
Refinement, mentor support and continued learning.
Second-day mentoring, finishing and ecosystem engagement.
Selected teams demonstrate their solutions.
Recognition, showcase and continuation pathways beyond JDLD.
This section is intentionally ready for confirmed names as the programme develops. JDLD should feel human, not anonymous.
JDLD is looking for organisations that can bring challenges, mentorship, judging, exhibition, technology support, sponsorship and real continuation opportunities.
Be part of a future-ready community that moves from learning into practical creation and opportunity.
